Bimetallic Strip And Buy How Does The Length Of The Metals Used For Bimetallic Strip Affect Its Sideways Expansion?

How does the length of the metals used for bimetallic strip affect its sideways expansion? - bimetallic strip and buy

Many factors influence the effectiveness of a bimetal bends. And the length of the strip is one of them. If the tape is longer, is more likely to comply, even if the temperature does not it? But what is the explanation? because the metal under pressure, if it is longer?

Different metals expand at different rates.

I expect that to grow the width in proportion to the length.

I expect the disc to expand uniformly in all directions.

The expansion of the various causes band bending. The curvature of the tape (1 / R) does not depend on the length. But, in line with constant curvature, the longer is the difference in the gap between the extremes.
